It could be worse

Today is one of those... this morining is going so smoothly what could possibly make my day bad... that turned into when will Daddy get home so I can go shopping and get some retail theropy...

It started so well, I normally wake up when Tom is leaving and I have intentions to get up with him or relax for a moment then get up but usually end up falling back to sleep only to be woken 25 min later by the kids climbing in bed with me asking for strawberry milk and ceral... and this morning I relaxed for a moment and then got up, popped some cinnimon rolls in the oven and waited for the pitter patter of little feet... I fed the kids then they got to playing, they where playing so nicely together so I was able to catch up on last nights shows (which I love to do in the mornings while I drink a couple cups of coffee and watch the kids play in their play room.) It was beautiful. I decided we would go to the park to reward them for playing nicely and to wear them out....

That's when my morning turned ugly...

Tommy has been potty trained since December. He wears a diaper at bedtime only and usually I let him play a little while in the morning before I change him pretty much as soon as he puts on real clothes he puts on underwear as well, although he pees in the toliat like a big boy he has been much more obstinate about pooping in the toliat. However for the last five days I have been rewarding him for going in the toliat and so I have only had to change Coco's dirty diapers... well this morning as I was getting ready to change them he informed me he was "stinkey" I asked him when he became stinkey and his answer was the frusterating part... it was while I was picking out their clothing thats right he waited until he knew he was going to get changed and made a stinky after I changed him, I told him it was time to clean up so we could go to the park. He didn't like this and said he didn't want to go to the park then and went into the playroom and sat on the rocking chair. Chloe came and sat on my lap on the couch and nodded off in seconds and that's when I realized his obstinate behaivor was a product of a sleepy child. So after making sure she was soundly passed out in her bed I went into the play room and picked him up to put him in his bed. He woke up and asked to cuddle with me on the couch. I let him, but he wouldn't go back to sleep. So i finally put him in his bed and told him not to wake his sister and he needed to go to sleep...

Ugly to much worse...

I heard noises in their room and went to investigate and found them playing in their closet (now before you freak out that my kids play in their closet let me tell you why they do it. We have a matriss, a toddler/crib matriss since Tommy was still in the toddler bed it is about the width of the closet and their shoes fit on either end... they have made it into a fort and have toys and blankets and books in there, i normally don't like them taking toys into their room because that is what the playroom is for but the closet fort makes is so cute) however cute it was them snuggling together telling secrets Chloe had only slept about a hour and Tommy slept for about 20 min... not nearly enough time for a nap... And now both of them are refussing to nap... which means absolutly no mommy time to clean my house or do anything... That being said my day or afternoon that was Ugly in my book is still so much better then working... at least the two children who are trying my patients are actual children and not a few full grown men. And even though there are days like today where a few things just didn't go as planned I have to take them all with a smile and know that it's part of them learning... they are now currently eating lunch and giggling...

Guess my day wasn't so bad in retrospect if an extra stinky diaper, and the kiddos don't want to finish thier naps since they where woken up early is the worst part. Guess it's time to buckle down clean my kitchen and help them finish up their playroom! So we can go have fun at the park. (and i can still go to my retail theropy tonight)

SAHM....

Sometimes life changes and your ready for it, sometimes life changes and feel unprepared and scared, sometimes life changes and you rise to the occasion! I had to do all three of those things recently. After getting out of the CG I had it in my mind that I was going back to work. I have had a job since I was sixteen. I enjoy working, making money, and feeling important. During my senior year of high school I worked two part time jobs. I was prepared to exit the CG, I was over worked and under appriciated. I was done. I applied to starbucks to work nights. Tom didn't want me working because due to the high cost of daycare i would have to work nights and we would rarely see eachother. I felt as if it where my duty for our family for me to work. I recieved a call back and after setting up a way for my kiddos to be watched for the extra hour called the maneger back, she said if she still had a position she would let me know... I never heard back from her and I didn't bother calling because even though I thought working was the way to go at first I decided I would stay at home with my kids. I am happy to say it is difficult in other ways then working. Is it harder then working, no. Is it easier then working... maybe. Is it more rewarding then working... um... YES!!! Watching my beautiful babies grow is the most wonderful thing I could ever ask for!!! My life may have turned crazy topsy tervy but I LOVE IT!!

Crazy Days

Life has been crazy lately to say the least. I seperated from the CG on the 16th of March, and we moved to Holiday FL (where every day is a holiday when you live in Holiday ;) ) but that didn't go quite as planned. The good old CG gave me one last deparding "gift" and didn't write my orders soon enough so I got stuck moving myself... in one weekend. Tom helped the Sat evening and Sunday of the move since he had to work. I finally got the last room of the house unpacked (my room) on Saturday. I have been staying at home with the kids which makes for a fun yet trying time. Its more difficult then I thought it would be, it's mainly the social interaction I miss... even though the "friendly" folks of station ponce where not my favorite there where a few I really liked that I do sorely miss. I received my billet yesterday which couldn't have made me happier, I actually got up and started dancing when I read my billet (of course I had to look it up online cause it doesn't have a normal name) It's on Airsta Clearwater exactaly what I wanted. I missed a call from the maneger of Starbucks that I applied to, and now I have to wait until Wednesday to call her back which makes the suspense almost too much. The kids are loving me staying at home. Chloe went through a type of withdrawel at first because of the whole move and putting them in daycare everytime we went over to Titusville so I could get stuff done... she didn't want to let me out of her sight insisting on falling asleep on me at night but is doing much better and back to her normal happy self. Tommy came out somewhat unfaised, he tried to regress by requesting to wear a diaper, I told him no and he moved on, His hardest point of all of the change was when I taped up his toy boxes to put them on the moving truck We met a really nice couple two houses down. They are about mine and Tom's age and have a two year old son so both the kids enjoy spending time with him. well that is what's been going on in the Briese house! Rachel

Why am I horrible at blogging?

WhyI think I'm horrible at blogging:

1. Never kept a journal growing up
2. Never making the time between work two kids exercising and cleaning my house i have little me time

What I'm going to do to remedy that:

1. Get super excited about the custom new layout I got and not let it go to waste!
2. Try to blog once a week every couple days is overwhelming

That being said here is an update from the last time!!!

First it was Tommy's third birthday!! He's such a big boy!! I cannot believe my sweet lil man is three!!!

Aunt April came for a visit!! We love her so much and are always so happy when she can make a trip!!

The day she arrived Chloé finally started walking!

Halloween came and went, I had a cupcake and a mator!!!

I cooked thanksgiving dinner for Tommy's family!!!

We spent Christmas with my in-laws!!! It's was wonderful Tommy finally got the whole presents thing and loved going to church!!!

The rest is all park play dates and such!! We have been keeping busy, we are moving to the west coast of Florida in about a month, I'm getting out of the active duty CG but am staying in the reserves, Tom is going to work at QTC (quality tire center) and I am going to get a job in the evenings so I can stay at home with my babies during the day! We are so excited to move but dreading it all at once!!

Lovin' Friends Moving Close

Recently we some good friends of ours moved close by for Tom it was one of his best guy friends from his work in Kodiak, they where fishing/camping/four wheelin buddys lol they pretty much spent all their time together, and lets just say it I think he's pretty awesome as well!! He moved here about a month ago and Tom has been enjoying having him around! For me one of the girls (who was married to one of the guys I was stationed on the boat with) who used to watch little Tommy when he was a wee little one moved very close her husband got stationed at the ANT team (it's like a unit within a unit they have a building on my station) so I have been able to hang out with her a few times, they came to Coco's bday party and I have been enjoying knowing I have a friend close... did i mention they have the most darling TWIN baby GIRLS?!?!

Tommy is in love with them he thinks it's amazing that they look alike and are the same size!! He asks me all the time "when we go see the two baby girl" or says "i like the two sissy's" (he calls all girls sissy)

He insisted on Riding on the front of their stroller during one of our walks together!!

(last but not least)
Grandma and Opa's Visit

I cannot begin to tell you how blessed I am to have Tommy's (my husband) family close!! I love my FIL, MIL, and SIL so much but that doesn't mean i don't miss my own family! So when my parents said they wanted to come around Coco's bday I was super excited!! It turned out to be a lovely weekend packed full of fun suff, we went to Cocoa beach, Orlando to Downtown Disney and the Outlet Malls, as well as Marriot Island (the closest Toys R Us... they couldn't help but spoild them) and Palm Bay... it was a fun weekend full of laughter and Love. We where sad to see them go but I know it won't be too long before they come back... Tommy asks all the time to go see them, he doesn't quite understand that we just can't hope in a car see them...
Coco with her Cup... (she looks like my cousin Kari in the pic)
Tommy playing with one of his new toys the EVIL DR. PORK CHOP

I should be cleaning but....

Well lets face it who really enjoys cleaning? I still have about 2 hours before Haley gets here... Tommy's eating his post second breakfast of cupcakes and I am nibbling on some apple buttered toast... So instead of what I should be doing i'm going to update my blog...

We have been trying to do more things with the Kids on my day off... last week i had Wendnesday and Thursday off, so on Wednesday we went to the beach... it was so much fun Baby girl loved the sand and the water splashing her, Tommy was having fun digging and was body surfing with the best of them... I often forget living in Florida means we can actually swim in the ocean and not freeze but instead enjoy the warm water. On Thursday we went to the park near our house it's not the biggest but it's perfect for a 2 (almost 3) year old and Chloé is getting the hang of it. Althought the weather may be hot we also have a lot of thunder and lightening storms with lots of rain so Monday and Tuesday (which where my other days off) it rained and rained!!!... here are some pictures from my last few days off...

This is one of my fav's from the beach... I didn't get too many pictures that day!
 She loves to swing
I love the little faces she makes
He was prancing over to the swings... I love how his little leg is kicked up!!
He is my handsome little man!!
He has been so interested in learning how to hold onto the regular swing
 She couldn't stop giggling
I let her climb a little on her own... she loved it!!
He climbs on everything at the playground... and i'm okay with it :D
Waiting for me to follow her
 Look at that FACE!!!

So like i said before monday and tuesday it rained so we make our own activites inside...

While in the middle of folding laundry I had two little ones decided to climb in the basket so ran around behind them and swung them around the had a blast!!!
Tommy was also makig faces at Chloé to get her to laugh even more...

Well now that i have added pictures and updated my blog... guess it's time to clean :(
